Can we modify our copy of PHPKB knowledge base software?

The source code of PHPKB knowledge base software is open for editing (not licensed as open source) and can be modified for internal use only. Our product is commercial in nature and does not operate under the standard open source license, so while you are able to modify the functionality of the application, the modified source code cannot be resold or distributed under any circumstances.

Upon purchase you are granted a single use license of the product whose source code can only be modified to the extent that licensing and user-related functions (creating/editing/deleting) are never changed.

All copyright notices must remain intact (in the source code) and modified versions of the source code cannot be resold or distributed under any circumstances. We cannot provide support for customers running the PHPKB Knowledge Base Software with code modifications.
